No. Unless you request or we advise wiping the computer, in most cases your computers operating system, programs and files will remain as they currently are. We do always advise you have a backup of your data in any event, and especially before any work is performed. We can also assist with any backup requirements and will consult with you about your data and applications before we undertake any work.

Yes, but we rarely do as the cost of a replacement screen often warrants upgrading to a new laptop, especially if it is a touchscreen. We can, however, procure and replace broken screens if needed.

This depends on what is causing the computer to slow down. In most instances the hard drive is the cause of the problem. Replacement hard drives usually cost less than $150, and there should be no more than 2 hours labour involved. Other items that have expired or are damaged can range in cost from $5 for a fan to many hundreds of dollars where we recommend a new computer.
